Desk bags for kindergarten

Lizelle Groenewald, a finalist for the Mrs Africa Foundation, together with the Pinnacle Metropolitan Empowerment Trust sponsored desk bags valued at N$17 500 to the Paraclete Kindergarten in Havana. Since the youngsters only have chairs and no desks, the desk bags provided a portable desk and bag solution, allowing them to carry books and stationery to and from school. The bags are waterproof, reflective and light for pre-primary scholars to use and have a lifespan to last throughout Primary school. The Paraclete Kindergarten was founded by Pastor Ben Niyakuri and his wife. They saw that they needed an intervention in the Havana area because most of the kids come from disadvantaged backgrounds and they want to make a difference in the lives of these children.
