Loop lig vir OKH se slaggate

Die toestand van paaie in Okahandja laat veel te wense, met slaggate wat die afgelope jaar nog glad nie herstel is nie.

'n Inwoner van die dorp, Johannie du Toit, sê daar is geen instandhouding van die paaie nie. “Hulle gooi doodeenvoudig sand binne die slaggate en die oomblik wanneer daar reën kom, is die gat maar net nog steeds daar,” het sy vir WE gesê.

Die gate in die pad is gevaarlik en hou 'n risiko vir alle motoriste in. “Veral die slaggate op die hoofpad is al so groot, motoriste moet uit-swenk om skade aan hul motor te vermy. Dié aksie is ewe gevaarlik, veral as daar baie verkeer is,” het sy gesê. Motoriste word selfs soms genoop om tot stilstand te kom.

Die Okahandja munisipaliteit is vir kommentaar genader, maar is daar teen druktyd nog geen reaksie ontvang nie.
