The 2018 World Cancer Congress (WCC) has selected the Bank Windhoek Cancer Apple Project as one of the global innovative projects of hope for this year's assembly, scheduled to take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, this coming week.

A collaborative initiative by Bank Windhoek and the Cancer Association of Namibia (CAN), the project is presented as an abstract by CAN's chief executive, Rolf Hansen, themed 'An Apple A Day, Helps Keep Cancer Away'.

Now in its 18th year and having raised more than N$20 million in support of cancer patients since its inception, the Bank Windhoek Cancer Apple Project is showcased as part of the session themed 'Global Fundraising/Spotlight On Innovative Fundraising Models' on the global stage.

“This is a remarkable milestone that will remain with Bank Windhoek for ever,” said Bank Windhoek's Jacquiline Pack.
