The Banker Magazine announced FNB Namibia as the winner of the 2022 Bank of the Year Namibia at a ceremony held in London, UK.

The prestigious awards aim to reward and promote industry wide excellence in the global banking community and international judges select only one winning bank for each country, which is what makes The Banker “Country Bank of Year Award” such a sought-after award.

When congratulating FNB Namibia’s management and staff on achieving top honours, The Banker’s editor, Joy Macknight said: ‘The judging panel felt that the bank made the most progress over the 12 months; something which is not only in terms of the bank’s strong financials, but also in the wide range of initiatives which the bank undertook during this period.”

Receiving the prestigious Banker Award for FNB Namibia in London on Thursday night, FNB Namibia CEO, Erwin Tjipuka, said to colleagues via social media on Friday morning: “Years ago FNB started to win this ‘award of awards’, and to win it for 2022, for helping to build a globally competitive Namibia, for building the best support base for customers and being the bank that sees new potential in our beloved country, is an amazing way to end this year.”

DRIVER OF EXCELLENCE

“It’s our clients that inspire us to keep getting better at partnering with them, thank you! FNB Namibia recently refreshed their logo as a visible link to a refreshed positioning of intuitive help, help before you know you need it. It’s about doing what matters, when it matters,” said FirstRand Namibia Group CEO, Conrad Dempsey.

“Helpful innovation, ease of access, safe banking, and meaningful action about client feedback, drives the excellence that wins awards. Well done, FNB Namibia!” he concluded.

This is the 11th time that FNB Namibia has received this award.
