This Sunday, Erongo reports that more than over 30 delegates from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) gathered in Swakopmund for the employment and labour sector joint tripartite technical sub-committees meeting of experts. Namibia recently assumed the chairmanship of SADC for 2018/2019.

We also chat to Ricc Profitt, vice president Playboys Motorcycle Club (PMC) that hosts the popular Fish Eagle rally. The event is one of the largest motorcycle rallies in Namibia and takes place from 5 to 7 October.

Erongo continues to report on the plight of state hospitals in the region. Governor Cleophas Mutjavikua appealed for more food donations to alleviate the prevailing shortage at hospitals in the region.

The Swakopmund town council will hold several public meetings for its residents in different suburbs in October that are aimed at giving feedback about the capital budget projects, the new plastic bag bylaw, crime statistics as well as the proposal for the installation of CCTV cameras in the town.
