Air Nam’s Frankfurt flight back on track

Air Namibia announced that it’s Windhoek – Frankfurt flight is operating as per schedule again following an incident that involved one of the airline’s Airbus A330 – 200s over the weekend at Frankfurt Airport in Germany. The A330 landed at Hosea Kutako International Airport (HKIA) this morning at 08:25, made a speedy turnaround and took off for the flight back to Frankfurt at 10:00. Preliminary investigations into the matter indicated that the damage caused by the incident was not a major consequence, enabling the aircraft to return to operation. However, the investigation into the matter by Luftfrahrt-Bundesamt (LBA) is still ongoing. As per the aviation safety standards, all aircraft are thoroughly inspected to be completely airworthy before take-off.
