Archers shatter Namibian records

The Windhoek Field Archery Club hosted its annual Khomas Year End Field Archery shoot at the range outside Windhoek at Heja Lodge last weekend. With warm weather prevailing, archers performed well, with records being crushed by Bea Viviers, JP Viljoen and Dirk de Bod Jnr.

Winners
• Adult Female Freestyle Unlimited: Bea Viviers: 491 in the Field round and 513 in the Hunter round (new Namibian record)
• Adult Male Freestyle Unlimited: Jannie Meuwesen: 544 in the Field round and 548 for the Hunter round
• Young Adult Male Freestyle Unlimited: Dirk de Bod Junior: 525 in the Field round, 523 in the Hunter round (both new Namibian records)
• Young Adult Male Bow Hunter Unlimited: JP Viljoen: 497 in the Field round and 508 in the Hunter round (new Namibian record)
• Junior Bow Hunter Unlimited: Danie Delport: 503 in the Field round and 513 in the Hunter round.
