Arendsvlei-ster kuier in Windhoek

Die bekende Arendsvlei-aktrise Jolene Martin kom kuier eersdaags in Namibië en kan aanhangers haar ontmoet wanneer sy by ’n ontbyt van Jubilee Ministries in die hoofstad kuier.
Behalwe vir haar rol in die bogenoemde Kyknet telenovela, was Joline ook in Getroud Met Rugby te sien en was sy vir ses jaar die gesig agter die “Powerbal”-lottery in Suid-Afrika.
Die aktrise is egter geen nuweling tot die Suid-Afrikaanse vermaaklikheidsbedryf nie, aangesien sy al jare lank deel is daarvan. Jolene is “ontdek” toe sy maar 13-jaar oud was en was sy jare lank ’n aanbieder van die Suid-Afrikaanse nasionale uitsaaier se jeug-geörienteerde programme.
Behalwe vir haar werk op die kleinkassie, is Jolene ook ’n bekende seremoniemeester en is sy geliefd vir haar borrelende aanbiedingstyl, nie net plaaslik nie maar ook in die buiteland.
Nog voor sy 20 jaar oud was, is sy deur die J Paul Getty-stigting genooi om die Verenigde Nasies in Parys toe te spreek; ’n ervaring wat haar aangemoedig het om bewustheid te skep oor maatskaplike kwessies.
Sy skryf haar opregtheid, innemendheid en professionaliteit aan ’n nederige begin toe.
