Rehobothers het beplan om Vrydag tot by die dorpsraad te betoog om 'n petisie te oorhanding oor die voorwaardes waaronder erwe op die dorp verkoop word.

Volgens Lucas de Klerk van die Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) is die plan egter van die baan na 'n lang gesprek met Nathalia /Goagoses, wat vir die tussentyd aangestel is om 'n regrukaksie op die dorp van stapel te stuur.

Die beplande betoging het gekom ná talle vrae ontstaan het omdat daar net twee voorwaardes was om 'n erf op die dorp te bekom. “Jy moet 'n eerstekeer koper wees en jy mag nie die erf weer verkoop nie,” sê hy.

Tog het inwoners laat kopkrap. “Beteken dit alle Namibiërs mag die erwe koop, of is dit net vir Rehobothers? Hoe word ons dan beskerm?” wou hy weet.

Volgens De Klerk is daar ook nie uitsluitsel of dit 'n ope of geslote bodproses is nie. “Wie kry voorkeur – die persoon wat die hoogste bod plaas, die kontantkoper of die persoon wat eintlik behoeftig is?”

Ná die vergadering met /Goagoses, het De Klerk egter gesê hulle het konsensus bereik.

“Ek is op die erwe komitee ­geplaas en is dus nou betrokke by die keuringsproses,” het hy gesê. Volgens hom het /Goagoses ook vir hom baie insae gegee oor hoe die proses werk en wat dit behels.
