Brighten up your day

Creating connections between nature and indoor environments.

04 August 2019 | Life Style

Nature Bloom, located in Windhoek’s southern industrial area, is more than just a florist, but a landscaping company that celebrates a modern and creative style.

They bring greenery to residential and commercial projects in some of the most innovative ways, ranging from planters to vertical gardens using Biophilic design.

At Nature Bloom, they know how important plants are. This is why they created their own vision of interior design with plants and mosses, with the focus on the effects plants and greeneries will have on each individual space. “We create strong connections between nature and man-made indoor environments,” says Paolo Teixeira.

“Nature Bloom was created with the belief that plants have great benefits on our lives and that our inside spaces needed to be healthier. This is why we created a unique green product line to liven up and brighten up our indoor spaces and days. We aspire to bring nature into everyone’s lives by creating an experience for all.”

Biophilic design

Biophilia – from the Greek “Bio” or Nature and “Philia” love, satisfaction – refers to when one has an intuitive and deeply ingrained attraction to nature, and a biological need for contact with the natural world.

“Whether you add a green roof, a living wall, or just a potted plant here or there, plants are an easy way to incorporate biophilic design,” Paulo says. “Biophilic design seeks to connect our inherent need to affiliate with nature in the modern built environment. Therefore, it isn’t just another design style to improve the look of your interior. It is essential for your happiness and well-being!”

Paulo says that research has found that nature helps to lower levels of cortisol, the hormone typically used to assess stress levels, improve concentrations and heighten creativity. “Nature not only improves worker productivity and health, it also helps people to feel happier!”

With Nature Bloom’s professional team of plant experts and their diversity of products, they can create custom designs that fit your individual needs and interior space. From homes and offices to hotels and restaurants, their range of services can be adapted to any space.
