Welcome to the first Sunday edition of Windhoek Express! Our sister publication Erongo, also makes her Sunday debut today.Both publications feature fresh news, feel-good stories, the latest sport results and Namibia Media Holdings’ ever popular school newspapers.
Windhoek Express distribution takes place at selected churches after the Sunday service, designated city intersections and certain retail outlets. WE is also available in Okahandja on Sundays, and is distributed to Rehoboth and Gobabis on Monday.
Erongo is available in Swakopmund, Walvis Bay, Usakos and Karibib on Sunday and is distributed to Omaruru, Henties Bay and Arandis on Monday.
Like many other sectors, the print industry is exposed to the effects of the financial slowdown and other international economic developments. A sustainable source for newsprint coupled with the weakness of the SA rand versus the US dollar, make the newspaper industry a tough one at the moment. In light of this, WE and Erongo will no longer be able to share our news for free. But we’re doing our level best to ensure that the N$5 our newspaper is going to cost will be worth every penny.
