In ’n poging om te verseker dat alle Namibiërs toegang het tot nie net kos en klere nie, maar ook
tegnologie, is Wikkel Namibië gebore.
Volgens stigter Elsa Scheepers wat die organisasie twee jaar gelede op die been gebring het, is dit
belangrik om te verseker dat volwassenes en kinders nie meer op die straat lewe nie.
“Maar dit gaan nie net om hulle toegang tot tegnologie te gee nie. Almal moet genoeg hê om te kan
eet,” sê sy opgewonde. Die Wikkel-projekte beoog om binnekort diensstasies in die land te nader
sodat donasiebokse daar geplaas kan word. “Dit maak dit vir die publiek makliker om donasies af te
lewer.
“As mense wil betrokke raak, hoef hulle nie groot te gee nie, hulle kan gee wat hulle kan, want elke
donasie kan gebruik word om ’n behoeftige persoon te help.”
Die span kort steeds finansiële hulp om onafhanklik te wees.
Donasies kan rekenaars, selfone, Bybels en skryfbehoeftes waarop die span nou fokus insluit. Indien
