Facebook skep funksie om te betaal vir konserte

Facebook het vir veral kunstenaars wie se inkomste weens die Covid-19-pandemie uitgewis is, ’n reddingsboei in die vorm van ’n nuwe funksie geskep. Dié funksie sal enige eienaar of administrateur van ’n amptelike Facebook-blad toelaat om verspot maklik konserte teen betaling op hul Facebook-blaaie aan te bied.
Die sosialemediareus het in ’n verklaring gesê dié funksie is danksy ’n verstelling aan Facebook Live, wat heelwat sangers tans gebruik om regstreeks met hul aanhangers te gesels of vir hulle musiek te maak. Hulle kan dit egter tans nog net gratis doen.
Sodra die nuwe verstelling binne die volgende paar weke aktief is, sal kykers eers ’n paar dollar moet opdok voordat hulle die konsert kan kyk, tensy ’n sanger dit gratis wil aanbied.
Die nuwe funksie sal nie net tot konserte beperk wees nie, maar kan vir enige aanlyn aanbieding – ook slypskole of konferensies – gebruik word.
“Jy kan ook ’n ‘donate’-knoppie aan regstreekse video’s haak, sou jy geld vir ’n goeie doel wil insamel,” lui die verklaring.
Dit is nog onseker presies wanneer die funksie in Namibië beskikbaar sal wees – of watter persentasie van die kaartjieverkope Facebook in sy eie sak gaan druk. – Netwerk24
