First elims for Voice of Namibia
27 January 2019 | Art and Entertainment
The singing competition creates a platform to discover local singing talent at a distinguished level and which produced startling results last year when it was first held.
In 2018 the competition was driven on multi-media with public votes and online judges. This year the organisers plan to improve and expand on last year’s format.
The first elimination-show which boasts 25 finalists who perform live for the first time, takes place on 9 February where six judges will select the top 12 contestants during a show that promises to be a glamorous event.
The evening includes dance performances by Meagan Barnard and Schwane Blignaut, an opening performance by last year's winner Claudine Nelson, and lucky draws throughout the evening.
Thereafter the contestants will go head to head on 16 March, when the Voice of Namibia 2019 will be announced.
Tickets cost N$250 and include snacks, while a cash bar is available. For more information and tickets, call 081 3335647 or 081 270 0836.
