The Deutsche Höhere Privatschule (DHPS) in Windhoek is challenging learners and other activists to join around 100 students in the #FridaysforFuture global strike on Friday 20 September. The march starts at 11:00 and follows the route from the DHPS main entrance (Church Street) to Independence Avenue to the new FNB building, continuing up Fidel Castro Street towards Parliament Gardens. Here the students will meet others like the #FridaysforFuture Windhoek Group as well as learners from other schools, including Waldorf, Holy Cross Convent and Delta. The aim of these demonstrations is to raise awareness among not only the public, but specifically government to push for a sustainable future.
