Fun with hats and roses

01 October 2019 | Society

Last Saturday the Cancer Association of Namibia (CAN) hosted their annual Hats & Roses Ladies Morning at the Windhoek Country Club Resort, with 430 women in attendance.
Emo Adams and his band from South Africa entertained the ladies throughout, while well-known motivational speaker Elsabe Aldrich shared her wisdom with a funny twist.
On a more serious note, Valencia Dentlinger gave testimony of her journey with and of surviving breast cancer.
Through this event, CAN raised in excess of N$100 000 thanks to ticket and raffle sales that will be used to sustain the women’s health clinics hosted by CAN to screen for breast- and cervical cancers.
Additional pledges were also made.
For more photos of the day, visit CAN’s Facebook page and follow the album link.
Namibian women who need screening services and cancer patients in need of support are invited to contact CAN at [email protected] or 061 237 740.
