Goeie opkoms vir Chryzander

Die gemeenskap van Rehoboth het verlede naweek kragte saamgesnoer om geld in te samel vir Chryzander Britz se ouers om hulle weer op hul voete te kry ná die 7-jarige twee jaar gelede met breinkanker gediagnoseer is.

Volgens die sameroeper, Ingrid 'Inky' Dentlinger, het die geleentheid baie goed verloop.

“Ons het die wonderlikste samewerking van almal gehad. Amper alle plaaslike kunstenaars het saam onder een dak opgetree en almal het dit gratis gedoen,” sê sy.

Hoewel hulle minder gemaak het as wat hulle sou wou, is die spaarbussie vir dié jong man en sy gesin nou N$5 000 sterker.



Sorg

Die geld gaan gebruik word om na die gesin se daaglikse behoeftes om te sien en ook om te betaal vir van Zander se medikasie. Ná maande se behandeling in Windhoek, is hy op die oomblik by sy huis op Rehoboth.

“Die ondersteuning wat ons van almal gekry het, was eenvoudig ongelooflik,” sê Inky. “Selfs diegene wat nie die konsert kon bywoon nie, het bygedra. Daar het byvoorbeeld iemand N$2 000 se koeldrank geskenk wat ons kon verkoop,” sê sy.



Groot dank

Inky bedank graag die volgende persone wat opgetree het of bygedras gelewer het: Rush, Kleintjie, Bernadine Goliath, Brother Clarence, Chrizelda en Charmain, Kesia Kharugas, Ingrid Diergaard, Kayleigh, die Rehoboth Massakoor, die Pinkster Gemeente, New Image, Willie Steyn, Efese Jeug, Harald Kambrude en Major 7th. “Dank ook aan Donavin Clarke wat die verwelkoming behartig het en past. Lennie Pienaar wat die opening hanteer het.”

Ander borge was Callas Audio wat die klank verniet gedoen het, JTL Beukes wat die skoolsaal beskikbaar gestel het, Trendy Walls en Shaye's Emboridery & Printing wat drukwerk op beanies en serpe asook koffiebekers aangebring het en wat ten bate van Zander verkoop is.

Intussen is Inky besig om werk te maak van nóg 'n insamelingsgeleentheid ná die deelnemende kunstenaars verlede week die voorstel gemaak het. “Dit gaan 'n black tie event wees, maar ander besonderhede sal mettertyd deurgegee word,” sê sy.
