Hoopskepper Elsabe kom kuier

Die Kankervereniging van Namibië bied volgende maand verskeie vertonings van Elsabe Aldrich aan, wat bekend is as pretprater en hoopskepper van formaat.

Elsabe is 'n motiveringspreker – hoewel sy die term pretprater ­verkies – wat al vir meer as twee dekades bekend is as pretprater, want sy glo aan die genesende krag van lag. Sy floreer op die energie tussen haar en 'n gehoor; sy preek nie – al praat sy soms ook Sondae in kerke!

Elsabe lees dolgraag en fynkam die suksesliteratuur vir wenwenke oor sprankelverhoudings en innerlike oorwinning oor papgeklaptheid. Haar grootste uitdaging is die vind van nuwe grappe en pittighede. Sy is bekend vir haar dramatiese uitrus­tings en lewer nie net 'n toespraak nie – sy gooi 'n hele show!
