Indoor archers strut their stuff

28 November 2019 | Sports

The second indoor archery championships took place at the SKW in Windhoek last weekend, attracting archers from across the country.
“In the recurve barebow class, we might soon see new rising star Lutz Wahlers participating internationally,” said Christo Brandt, vice president of the Archery Association of Namibia’s target archery division. “A well-known name in archery circles, Francois Marais, also attended the shoot amongst a number of newcomers.”
Indoor archery was introduced in Namibia as a World Archery discipline of target archery last year.
The shoot was hosted in association with Hemco Paints.
The next indoor archery event is the Swakopmund year-end indoor shoot hosted by the Swakopmund Archery Club on 21 December at the SFC Grounds. Those interested in participating, can contact Pieter du Plessis at 081 128 0723.
