Kerk reik na Dordabis uit

Dis amper Kersfees en die jongklomp is reeds besig om briefies oor geskenke aan Kersvader te skryf. Vir baie is dié hoop egter nie beskore nie. Juis daarom het die NG Kerk Windhoek-Oos besluit om vanjaar se Kersgeskenkprojek na Dordabis te neem.

Die kinders van Dordabis primêr en pre-primêr skool sal op 28 November met 'n hamburger, 'n blikkie koeldrank en sjokalade bederf word. “Dit is iets wat hierdie kinders nie gewoonlik kry nie,” sê Lana van Zyl van die kerk.

Kleuterskoolkinders kry iets ekstra en is daar 'n behoefte aan onderklere en sokkies.

Die publiek kan betrokke raak deur 'n N$50 bydrae te lewer. Sokkies en onderklere vir 3- tot 6-jariges kan ook aangekoop en by die kerkkantoor afgelewer word. Hulle hoop om sowat 500 kinderharte bly te maak.

Diegene wat meer aktief betrokke wil raak, kan op 26 en 27 November kom help broodjies smeer en die hamburger patties gaarmaak.

“Die Here seën ons heel jaar en hierdie is ons manier om dankie te sê en terug te ploeg,” het Lana gesê. “Alles wat ons ontvang, kom van God.”
