Kersfees mark met ‘n verskil

Die jaarlikse Village Christmas Market is om die draai met Wanderers wat in ’n sprokiesagtige dorpie getransformeer gaan word wat almal sal laat besef Kersfees is om die draai.
Volgens organiseerder Kobie Wassefall, word daar vanjaar veral gefokus op plaaslike entrepreneurs. “Dit is belangrik om ’n platform te skep vir klein besighede, veral vir diegene wat tydens Covid hul werk verloor het of ’n ander plan moes maak om kop bo water te hou.”
Sy vertel dat daar besonderse uitstallers is wat hulle produkte en dienste gaan vertoon en dat dit wonderlik sal wees om te sien hoe vindingryk Namibiërs is.
Vir Kobie is die Kersseisoen ’n geleentheid vir families en vriende om tyd saam te spandeer en hulle harte oop te maak. “Ons almal het die afgelope jaar en ’n half ongelooflike pyn en verlies ervaar, maar nou kan ons weer bietjie asem skep. Ons kan vir God die eer gee vir die wat nog met ons is. Ons moet opnuut besef wat ons in Hom het en dankbaar wees vir elke dag.”
Die Kersmark is beslis ’n geleentheid vir oud en jonk en families word genooi om dit saam te kom geniet. “Daar is tot ’n geleentheid vir ’n familie fotosessie saam met Kersvader en ons moedig ons ouer mense ook aan te kom deelneem in die pret,” sê Kobie.
Die mark vind vanaf 1 tot 6 November by Wanderers plaas. “Die Kersmark is ’n week lank om te verseker dat almal die tyd sal kry om ’n draai te kom maak. En as jy nie ’n oorhaastige koper is nie, kom een dag om te loer en kom later terug om dan heerlik te koop,” lag sy.
Tydens die mark sal daar ook kans wees om donasies in die vorm van ou klere, speelgoed en nie-bederfbare produkte af te laai. Dit sal na die mark aan behoeftige instansies uitgedeel word. “Ons moet ons harte oopmaak aan die wat nie het nie en hierdie is ’n wonderlike manier om terug te gee,” sê Kobie.
So merk nou al jou kalender en kom hou saam fees.
