Klein meneer bederf groot op Valentynsdag

Yolanda Nel Die dag van die liefde mag dalk eers môre wees, maar een seuntjie het reeds vandag sy skoolmaats met ’n spesiale geskenk bederf.
Klein Joshua Nel, 'n graad 2 leerling, het vir elke skolier by Omeya Privaatskool ’n spekboom-steggie spesiaal vir Valentynsdag gegee. Die skool vier reeds vandag die dag van die liefde, weens hul atletiekbyeenkoms wat Vrydag plaasvind. Die steggies lê die skool ook na aan die hart omdat hulle self baie op herwinning en die omgewing fokus.
Die 55 steggies is deur Plastic Packaging geborg. Die sakkies waarin die steggies gekweek word, is van herwinde materiaal gemaak. Die maatskappy is besig met beplanning om hul tuin by hul eiendom in die suidelike nywerheidsgebied te herontwerp deur spekbome te plant.
Verder is hulle ook besig om steggies te kweek om by hul herwinningsaanleg op Okahandja, Namibia Polymer Recyclers, se perseel te plant.
