Maak ’n kinderhart bly dié Kersfees

Die L’Amour Heelwordsentrum is tans besig met ’n skoenboksprojek om seker te maak dat die 43 seuns en dogters van die Drimiopsis Gobabis Kleuterskool vanjaar iets onder die Kersboom kry. “Ons wil graag die San-kinders die vreugde van die Kerstyd laat beleef met hierdie geskenkies,” sê ds Theuns de Klerk van die sentrum.
Dit is die derde jaar wat die skoenboksprojek gehou word. “Vorige jare het ek dit deur middel van die Gereformeerde Kerk Okahandja, waar ek predikant was, gedoen. Hierdie jaar die eerste jaar wat L’Amour Heelwordsentrum dit organiseer,” verduidelik hy.
Daar is juis op die kleuterskool besluit omdat dit deel van die bedieningswerk van die Gereformeerde Kerk Sanveld is. Dit is ook ds Theuns se grootwordwêreld en hy self het skool gegaan by Drimiopsis. “Vroeër in my bedieningstyd in Okahandja het ek ook daar gehelp met die bedieningswerk onder die San.”
Idees wat in die skoenbokse gepak kan word, sluit skryfbehoeftes, speelgoed, toiletware en klere vir ouderdomme 4-7 jaar in. Die bokse kan teen 10 November by die L’Amour Heelwordssentrum op Okahandja afgelewer word. Die groep beplan om dan die skoenbokse op 13 of 14 November op Gobabis te gaan aflewer.
