Maltas has been working with the kindergarten since 2013 and carried out numerous projects with various organisations in Namibia. This year’s occasion was very special, as the graduation was integrated with the Christmas party. Next year, close to 40 children from this kindergarten will be attending grade 1 at various schools in Namibia.
The purpose of the ceremony was to celebrate the achievements of the kindergarten in terms of teaching and learning throughout the 2019 academic year.
Natana Elago of the Olupandu Foundation delivered the keynote address from Proverbs 22:6, which talks about training our children in the way they should go, and even when they become older, they will not depart from it.
Elago reiterated that children are our future and it is our responsibility to notice the abilities and passion of our children so that we can direct them to their true calling.
At the same event, Bernadette Coetzee donated four boxes of clothes. Other items which were donated by various organisations are two office desks, two chairs, a desktop computer, two mattresses and stationary items such as pens, books, pencils which will be very useful for the 2020 academic year.
The children performed some musical items and narrated poems to entertain the audience.
