Met ’n ’85 Bernina

Met die hand geborduur en met ’n 1985 Bernina aanmekaar gestik, met ’n spesiale stel klere en ’n naam, is daar geen manier dat hierdie lappoppe op ’n ashoop gaan beland nie.
Snoesig Namibië is klein en nuut, en spruit uit ’n stokperdjie vir onderwyseres Sanja Kritzinger.
“By Snoesig word daar unieke haas-lappoppe gemaak en dit is beslis nog net die begin,” vertel sy. Sanja is vuur en vlam om uit te brei en nog meer produkte vir kinders te maak. Sy wil veral op dekor vir kinderkamers fokus, soos deurstoppers, stoormandjies en beddegoed.
Haar liefde vir naaldwerk kom van haar ma af en sy vertel dat van haar beste herinnering in die naaldwerkkamer en in Windhoek se lapwinkels was. “Ek wou nog altyd iets in ’n kreatiewe rigting doen, maar ek was maar baie onseker en bang,” sê sy.
Toe sy met haar dogtertjie swanger was, het sy alles vir die babakamer self gemaak onder andere ’n hasie. “Ek het toe besluit om nog ’n paar te maak en daarmee rond te speel. Ek het toe ’n foto van die proses op Instagram gelaai en voor ek my oë kon uitvee, was my besigheid aan die gang en bestellings het begin in kom,” lag sy.
Sanja is ’n voorskoolse onderwyseres met ’n passie vir kinders. “So, dis net natuurlik dat ek nou hulle kamers ook wil mooi maak.”
Na skool en tussen aanlyn-onderrig word daar gestik in die Kritzinger-huis. Hoewel die idee al lankal daar is, het sy eers gedurende die imperking met die hasies begin. Haar dogtertjie en ander mammas bied inspirasie.
“Daar gaan soveel moeite in kinderkamers in. Ek wil hulle help om unieke produkte te kan kry selfs in Namibië. Ek is mal oor eenvoudige en unieke ontwerpe. Die poppe is eintlik dekoratief, maar ek het met tyd geleer dat kindertjies net so lekker met hulle kan speel en snoesig saam met hulle ’n middagslapie vat. Die poppies is tydloos en ek hoop hulle kan erfstukke raak.”
Die lekkerste deel van die stokperdjie is die feit dat Sanja dit in die gemak van haar huis kan doen. Dit is vir haar belangrik om soveel tyd moontlik saam met haar dogtertjie deur te bring.
“Omdat ek soggens skool gee is dit lekker om in die middae van die huis af te kan werk en steeds by haar te kan wees. Dit is ook vir my baie lekker om elke kliënt se versoeke te kry en dan hulle eie stempel op hulle hasie af te druk.”
Sy werk op die oomblik op haar eie, “en somtyds help my man op die hasies te stop en af te lewer,” lag sy.
