Die Pluimpie-toekennings, die Idiomestryd, 'n skryfskool en 'n teatertegnologiekursus is waarna daar in die volgende paar maande uitgesien kan word.

Bank Windhoek het sy toewyding tot die ondersteuning vir Afrikaans gestand gedoen deur hierdie jaar weer die ATKV in verskeie projekte te ondersteun: Oudergewoonte borg die bank die ATKV Pluimpies en die gewilde Idomestryd vir skoliere van regoor Namibië. Bykomend is die Bank Windhoek Skryfskool ook deel van dié borgskap.

Pluimpies

Vir die 23ste agtereenvolgende jaar ondersteun Bank Windhoek die ATKV Pluimpie-toekennings wat op 19 Julie plaasvind. Die doel is om erkenning te gee aan individue, instansies, uitgewers en maatskappye wat spesiale bydraes gemaak het tot die Afrikaanse taal om dit modern en eietyds te hou.

Idiomestryd

Die Bank Windhoek Idiomestryd het ten doel om Afrikaans te bevorder en om skoliere vertroud te maak met Afrikaanse uitdrukkings en idiome. Daar is meer as 8 000 idiome en uitdrukkings in die Afrikaanse taal, wat die skoliere moet memoriseer en korrek gebruik tydens die kompetisie. Tussen 20 en 25 skole neem jaarliks aan dié kompetisie deel. Eintlik is dit só gewild dat van die skole twee spanne inskryf. Die Idiomestryd word elke Woensdagmiddag ná 14:00 op Hartklop FM uitgesaai.
Die skole neem teen mekaar deel en word uitgedun tot die finaal waar twee skole mekaar die stryd aansê.

Skryfskool

Die Bank Windhoek/ATKV Skryfskool word hierdie jaar hervat. Die eendagkursus wat regoor die land aangebied word, het ten doel om hoërskoolleerlinge in die skyf van opstelle en gedigte met die nodige kundigheid toe te rus en voor te berei. Beide skoliere asook nie-skoolgandes kan die kursus bywoon.

Teatertegnologie

Die eerste Bank Winhdoek Teatertegnologiekursus vind op 26 en 27 Julie in Windhoek plaas. “Die ATKV wil graag ons jeug bemagtig om Teatertegnologie in hulle skool te kan aanbied. Met die geleentheid wil ons graag leerlinge nooi om aan dié kursus deel te neem,” sê Leoni van Rensburg, voorsitter van die ATKV Namibië. Kursusgangers is beperk tot 25 en deelname beloop N$350 per persoon.
