Most importantly it promotes and wellbeing of Namibians. I would like to commend Swakop Uranium through the Swakop Uranium Foundation for remaining committed to and ensuring the wellbeing of Namibians by sponsoring this event.
He said that the Husab marathon not only allows participants an opportunity to focus on their health and a fun day with the family, but also business opportunities for local catering businesses which is in line with achieving national development goals of the country. “As citizens, we must embrace what we have and enjoy what we have peace and stability of our country as well as the beautiful scenery that this country offers us.”
Through the Swakop Uranium Foundation, N$128 000 raised last year which was split between the Dibasen High School and Omatjete Combined School. “This money went a long way to uplifting our people in the rural areas to make sure they are also working towards the same level in terms of their school’s projects and programmes,” Mutjavikua said.
