Nuwe baadjie vir geliefde DHF treffers

Met Herverbeel pak Die Heuwels Fantasties (DHF) nuwe verwerkings en akoestiese weergawes van hul treffers, sowel as unieke samewerkings met verskeie kunstenaars aan.
Die idee was om met ’n ander perspektief te kyk na bestaande Heuwels trefliedjiesfers. Gunsteling-treffers word op hul kop gedraai met verfrissende produksie-styl. Tresor, Tarryn Lamb, Laudo Liebenberg, Ampie, Die Krefies, Loki en Margot Rothman en 19-jarige Chxrl is van die bekende kunstenaars wat op die album saam met Die Heuwels verskyn.
Daar is ook ’n splinternuwe liedjie, “Hardloop Weg”/
Pierre Greeff sê dat hulle nie kan wag vir mense om hierdie nuwe snit te hoor nie. Hy vertel dat hy “Hardloop Weg” een oggend 03h00 op sy selfoon geskryf het. “Die skep daarvan het gevoel soos ’n letterlike, onwillekeurige uitvloeisel. Ek en Fred het daarna die lied eintlik baie gou aanmekaar gesit. Deur die jare kon ek op my een hand tel wanneer die skryf-proses so maklik gebeur het en gewoonlik is daai nommers nogal spesiaal. Dit voel ook, bygesê, soos ‘n lied vir hierdie tyd waarin ons nou leef. Hoop mense voel hom ook.”
Hunter Kennedy vertel, “om ons liedjies te ‘herverbeel’ was ’n great manier om weer ’n kalklig op ou songs te skyn. Ons het vroeër die jaar ’n vollengte album (2021) uitgereik en in die middel van die jaar was daar die ‘Live in Lockdown’ album van ons livestream CD launch in Mei. Ons het natuurlik nie tydens die inperking getoer nie en dit het dus soos die perfekte tyd gevoel om “Herverbeel” aan te pak.”
