Nuwe HUB gesoek

Die Rehoboth dorpsraad (RTC) sal op 1 November hopelik weer teen November ’n nuwe hoof uitvoerende beampte (HUB) hê, ná Christoph |Uirab vroeër vanjaar aangedui het hy gaan in November bedank.

|Uirab het reeds sy bedanking op 20 Junie ingedien, effektief vir einde November, maar die raad het hom op 13 Julie ingelig hulle aanvaar sy bedanking met 30 dae kennis.

Nampa het berig dat volgens Nathalia |Gôagoses, ’n verteenwoordiger van die ministerie vir stedelike en landelike ontwikkeling, dat die RTC tans aan ’n kortlys werk. “Ons het ook die lynministerie gevra om iemand voor te stel om ons in die tussentyd by die RTC te kom uithelp,” het sy gesê. “Ons sukkel.”

Die tegniese department het in ’n waarnemende kapasiteit die werk behartig, maar die department is self veeleisend en was die reëling nie volhoubaar nie.

Drie name van geskikte kandidate om die waarnemende rol in te neem is reeds ontvang. Hoewel ’n bron aan Nampa gesê het Paul Nghiwilepo van die Mariental munisipaliteit is ’n gunsteling, het |Gôagoses dit nie bevestig of ontken nie.

Rehoboth is sedert Maart vanjaar sonder ’n raad, ná die minister van stedelike en landelike ontwikkeling, Peya Mushelenga, die hele raad geskors het weens bewerings van wanadministrasie.
