Windhoek • Elizabeth Joseph

Windhoek Afrikaanse Privaatskool (WAP) now has the chance to defend their title after defeating Windhoek Gymnasium by 20-12 at the Hage Geingo Stadium on Friday.
With a halftime score of 10-5, the Gimmies’ determination proved futile as they fought for a spot in the Momentum final.
The team as well as the crowd did their absolute in terms of team spirit as they chanted for the U/19S WAP team. Their “gees” could not be drained by the icy weathers that the August wind bring, and that is what most teams have to work on if they plan on being victorious in future.
In the U/19 A League Pro-Ed beat De Duine on Saturday, which means they progress to the finals taking place in the capital next Saturday. At the time of going to print, the U/19 game between Elnatan I and Moria I where ongoing, with Moria leading 24-12 at halftime.
