Sunday fun day
19 November 2018 | Events
Sunday marks the start of a week-long charity drive at Cramer's ice cream in Independence Avenue, and this is an event not to be missed. “We invite the community from all walks of life to please support and donate,” says Donovan Majiedt of We Are One. “We constantly try to give back and it shows our unity. It also unites those who are less fortunate.”
This event is for young and old and provides a variety of entertainment, from Lize Ehlers and SlickArtie to WakaWaka Moo for the younger audience. There are also poetry readings and a dance group. “This also shows unity in different art forms and it proves that we are indeed one,” he said.
Anything from canned and dry food, to children's books, toys, clothes and sanitary pads can be donated towards the cause.
The fun starts at 12:00 on Sunday and continue until 18:00, and interested parties have a week to drop off their donations at Cramer's. All donations go towards the Kids Soup Kitchen in Havana, so the organisers ask that you open your heart and give to a worthy cause.
