Tennis-kampioenskappe lok topspelers

Die Trustco NTA Junior Meesterskampioenskappe is die belangrikste junior tennisbyeenkoms in Namibië en elke jaar word net die beste spelers uit elke ouderdomsgroep genooi om deel te neem.
Soos verwag, het hierdie spelers verlede naweek uitsonderlike tennis gespeel. Die agt spelers in elke ouderdomsgrope het moeilike wedstryde beleef, ’n paar uitdagende teenstanders oorkom en moes selfs by tye sterk wind in die gesig staar.
Die uithouvermoë en sportmangees van al die spelers sal hulle ongetwyfeld vertroue gee as hulle voorberei op die nuwe seisoen. Skitterende tennis en professionaliteit wat op so ’n jong ouderdom al na vore kom, kan slegs as positief beskou word. ’n Fantastiese toekoms vir hierdie spelers en tennis in Namibië word voorspel.
Die 13-jarige Raica Coelho het die o.14-afdeling vir meisies gewen en is tans in Mauritius waar sy aan die ITF/CAT o.14 Afrika Juinorkringwedstryde (graad 2 en 3) deelneem.
Die ander junior meesters is Ayanda Basson (meisies o.10), Lian Kuhn (seuns o.10), Adam Diggle (seuns o.12), Hayley Kidd (meisies o.12), Oliver Leicher (seuns o.14), Lisa Yssel (meisies o.16), Lorenzo Danster (seuns o.16) en Daneel van der Walt (seuns o.18).
Al die spelers sien uit na die aankondiging van die nasionale groep van 24 spelers wat aan die komende ITF/CAT o.14 en o. 16 Suider-Afrikaanse Individuele en Spankampioenskappe deelneem wat van 10 tot 19 Januarie 2020 in Windhoek plaasvind. Daar word altesame 120 spelers uit 12 lande vir hierdie byeenkoms verwag, en dit sal spelers ruim geleentheid gee om hul Afrika-ranglys te verbeter.
