05 November 2019 | Art and Entertainment

Yolanda Nel It’s the week every fashionista, designer and model is waiting for: Windhoek Fashion Week (WFW) is finally here!
Designers and models have been working around the clock for weeks to make sure that everybody is sewed up and every zip is in place. Fashion talks start tonight at 18:00 with the hot topic being the future of fashion in the retail industry. This is led by Petro Oberholster and takes place at the Marigold Hotel. Entrance is free.
On Wednesday, a welcoming party is hosted by Simply You Magazine at the Marigold Hotel from 18:00. On Friday there are runway shows taking place at Maerua Mall from 18:00, which will continue on Saturday from 17:00.
The aim of the WFW is to bring a variety of industry-related individuals together, including fashion designers, brands, models, show producers, photographers, stylists, hair and makeup artists, jewellers and crafters to showcase their latest collections on different runway shows.
