The power of sweat

“We believe that fit is not a body type. We want to cultivate a culture that negates excuses not to exercise,” says Emily Kandanga, trainer and co-founder of Sweat Fitness.
The trio decided to change the way people see fitness. For this reason they will be hosting a health talk on Saturday. “The theme is food as fuel and we will be exploring basic nutritional principles, meal prep tips and basic cooking techniques,” she says.
Anyone is welcome to attend. “This event is open to like-minded individuals who could possibly learn something about nutrition and training that you didn't know. For us it is important to create a platform for people to share, inspire, motivate and connect with each other,” Emily says.
This will definitely not be the last talk. “We want to continue hosting talks about all things health and fitness.”
The talk takes place at the Windhoek High School gymnasium from 09:00 to 12:00. “We want those in attendance to come dressed comfortably, along with a yoga mat and a blanket – whatever you need to feel relaxed, and of course your notebook,” she says.
