11 October 2019 | Sports

The Pupkewitz Group of Companies announced their commitment as anchor sponsor for the 2020 edition of the Pupkewitz Tour De Windhoek taking place from 18 to 20 September next year.
After the success of the event this year, Pupkewitz Holdings, Pupkewitz Motors, Pupkewitz Megatech and Pupkewitz Megabuild pledged their support to hosting this unique cycling event come 2020.
The Pupkewitz Tour De Windhoek offers local cyclists the chance to compete against international cyclists.
This year, 17 men’s and six ladies teams competed, of which six were South African men’s and a South African ladies team. Other SA cyclists cycled within Namibian teams. Of these, three teams already said that they will be coming back for next year’s edition. This aspect is vital for the cycling sports in Namibia to increase the standard, develop talent and strengthen local top cyclists to compete at international level.
The Pupkewitz Tour De Windhoek consist of five stages, while the Tour De Windhoek Light for individual cyclists and female teams consists of four stages.
Entries are limited to a maximum of 15 men’s and 10 ladies teams. Men’s teams can have between three and six riders and ladies’ teams can have between three and five riders. A maximum of 100 individual cyclists can enter the Pupkewitz Tour De Windhoek Light.
The Pupkewitz Group invites all teams and cyclists worldwide, to sign up and secure their participation for the Pupkewitz Tour De Windhoek 2020 now! For more info, contact race director Mannie Heymans at [email protected]
