Two birds with one stone

Namibia currently faces two severe environmental challenges: The worst drought in over 100 years, and the worst bush encroachment ever recorded.
However, flip these two challenges on their heads, and we see an obvious solution: Feeding livestock and game with bush-based animal fodder. Through the correct harvesting, processing, and supplementation, bush-based animal fodders can drastically improve the current situation on a farm level. Not only will bush-based animal fodders help offer relief to farmers now, during the drought, but it will also offer them a valuable tool to be used in future, for addressing the underlying causes of bush encroachment.
