Unclaimed certificates waiting to be collected

16 February 2017 | Justice

NamPol has urged people who applied for certificates of conduct to collect their certificates as it is only printed upon collection and the system is being overloaded at the moment.

NamPol launched the automated biometric identification system using digital imaging to capture fingerprints last year. The image is compared to a database of fingerprint records to help determine an individual’s identity.

The system did away with long delays and has been running smoothly at the Windhoek, Wanaheda and Katutura stations. (NAMPA)
