Juis daarom het 'n groep mense besluit om 'n insameling vir boere in nood te hou. “Sommige boere het nege jaar laas genoeg reën gekry,” sê Marcha Reed van MR Entertainment. En volgens haar, het sy net 'n halwe geleentheid nodig om 'n spesiale geleentheid te reël.

Marcha is lid van die Namibië Boere Hartklop/Droogtehulp groep op Facebook. “Ek sien al vir jare hoe hulle boere help met voer deur skenkings en aanlynveilings,” vertel sy. Toe sy weer 'n stukkie sien, is 'n voorstel aan Henriëtte le Grange en Wildred Weise gemaak om 'n vertoning te reël om nog meer geld in te samel.

Daarmee saam daag Marcha almal op haar MR Entertainment-blad uit om elkeen net N$50 by te dra. “Hierdie geld bring 'n klein bietjie verligting vir 'n boer in nood. Op die ou einde maak talle klein bydrae 'n groot verskil,” sê sy. “Vir iemand wat daagliks sy diere se karkasse moet optel omdat daar nie kos is nie, gaan 'n paar bale voer die wêreld beteken.”

In terme van die vertoning, vind dit op 6 April in WHS se saal plaas. Hier sal gaste met die klanke van Adam Tas en Brendan Peyper vermaak word. “Dit gaan 'n kuiergeleentheid vir die hele gesin wees,” sê Marcha, en voeg sy by dat daar ook 'n verskeidenheid kosstalletjies sal wees. “Dit alles om 'n verskil in iemand se lewe maak.”

Kaartjies kos N$150 vir volwassenes en N$80 vir voorskoolse kinders en is via Webtickets of enige Pick n Pay te koop.

Alle geld gaan vir die aankoop van voer wat aan boere geskenk gaan word wat aansoek om hulp gedoen het.

Gaan koop vandag dus nog jou kaartjie of maak 'n klein donasie.
