Winter Knights head to Dordabis

28 June 2018 | Society

As part of the annual Round Table Winter Knights campaign, Round Table Windhoek 34 decided to reach out to the Dordabis community to make a difference.

Around 1 700 people live at Dordabis, a small town located 90km south east of Windhoek. Given the current economic situation, residents are really struggling. The winter cold contributes further to this struggle, especially affecting the elderly and the children.

On 15 June, a much needed donation of 240 blankets, 56 towels, 20 bed sheets, 48 litres of juice, 40kg maize meal and 120kg rice with a total value of around N$16 500 was donated to the community by Round Table Windhoek 34.

The Chairman of Round Table Windhoek 34, Frikkie Engels and his son Christiaan, handed over the contribution to the head supervisor of the Dordabis clinic, Ruben Ilongo.
