Calling all blood donors

Blood donation clinics will be taking place in Windhoek, Swakopmund and Oshakati on Saturday.
In Windhoek, donations can be made at the NAMBTS headquarters (25 Tal Street) from 08:00 to 14:00; in Swakopmund at 4 Ferdinand Stich Street (behind Namib High School opposite the Cancer Association) from 08:00 to 13:00; and at the Oshakati state hospital ground floor from 08:00 to 14:00.
Transport arrangements can be made for donations in Windhoek (via Salmi on 081 122 1265) and Oshakati (via Adolph on 081 162 0834).
The Blood Transfusion Service urges all eligible and healthy donors to donate at these three centres on Saturday or at their nearest centre during the course of the week to help ensure that lives are saved at a time when trauma incidents are on an increase due, amongst others, to the various public holidays.
The Service also asks for donations to help save the lives of patients such as mothers who bleed excessively during childbirth, cancer patients as part of their treatment, and patients who are involved in trauma incidents and those who require various surgeries.
