Safland International, in conjunction with Ronnie Barnard Architect and Thembeka RDC, will start with the construction of the Gobabis Village Mall on a surface of 9399,5 m² at the area where the current Shoprite is, stretching to part of the park and the area where the tennis courts are currently situated.

The total cost of the development is estimated to be at least N$150 million making it the biggest single investment in the town of Gobabis.

The construction of the Gobabis Village Mall is expected to commence on 1 February 2017 and by November 2017 popular outlets such as Markhams, Total Sports, Clicks, Crazy Plastics, Shoe City, Hungry Lion, Sport Scene, John Craig and Studio 99, to name a few, will open their doors in the eastern town. A council spokesperson said they wish the developers all the best in this massive endeavour and welcomes all the tenants in advance to the town of Gobabis. They look forward to working with these established outlets.
