Kavita Sports Performance is a Mariental-based multi-service sports hub that specialises in an abundance of services such as training, sports and event management.
Unomasa Kavita, a certified strength and conditioning coach, is the company's owner and founder. As a strength and conditioning coach, Kavita is a professional who uses scientific knowledge to train athletes with the main aim of improving athletic performance.
He has spent many years gaining the necessary expertise and knowledge in the sports industry. The fully registered company, which has been operating for two years, is making strides and continues to try to fulfil its social responsibility to the community and the people it serves.

Inclusivity
The primary emphasis of the business is working with athletes, both junior and senior, as well as sports clubs.
However, the hub caters to companies seeking to encourage fitness in the workplace and also offers group fitness training for weight management to help curb the likelihood of obesity and the chronic diseases that come with it.
Furthermore, they provide services to the general public, including anyone and everyone who wants to manage their weight and adopt healthier habits.
"Some parents cannot manage to pay for their children to participate in our strength and conditioning programme, despite knowing the benefits. However, it is our mandate not to turn away athletes who cannot afford our services; instead, we attempt to consolidate this issue by negotiating with Namibian sports governing bodies," Kavita said.

Winning pitch
"A business pitch is essential because it is the first impression you make on potential investors," he said.
He explained: "It's your opportunity to sell them on your business idea and get them excited about investing in your company. Your company's pitch should be clear, concise, and persuasive. It should explain what your business does, what problem it solves, and why it's a good investment."
With this level of understanding of the importance of pitching, he wrote an enthralling proposal – just enough to secure funding to start or scale a business – and presented it to a judging panel of five on 24 January 2020, at Pitching for Business Funding (P4BF) in Keetmanshoop.

Optimistic
Kavita Sports Performance won N$50 000 at the Old Mutual Keetmanshoop Awards Ceremony in 2022.
On 11 August 2022, Old Mutual Namibia, Launch Namibia, the Financial Literacy Initiative (FLI), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Accelerator Lab completed the second edition of the OM SEED initiative, with the top 20 Keetmanshoop entrepreneurs taking the stage to pitch their ideas to a panel of three judges. He was one of three Keetmanshoop businesspeople who shared an N$85 000 award prize.
Kavita is optimistic about the hub's development and plans to open branches throughout Namibia. He also invites people to contact him via email at [email protected] if they have any questions.
