Kashaka, Ekandjo, Kabooy take on Africa’s best in Cairo

Three of the Namibian Gymnastics Federation (NGF) rhythmic section’s finest gymnasts departed on Tuesday to represent the country at the 19th Senior African Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships, taking place today and Saturday in Cairo, Egypt.
Accompanied by International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) judges Roumi Kostin and Wietsa Snyman, the gymnasts are Peya Kashaka and Emilia Ekandjo of Windhoek Rhythmic Club, and Joy Kabooy of Walvis Bay Gymnastics Club.
They are set to go up against rhythmic gymnasts from the host country, as well as Tunisia, Algeria, Cape Verde, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Ivory Coast (Côte d'Ivoire), South Africa and Angola.
