Netball Namibia president Rebecca Goagoses said the first-leg netball matches over the weekend in the MTC Namibian Netball Premier League brought fireworks.
"If you look at the scoreline, with the exception of Mighty Gunners and Fatou, we are definitely going to see more intense battles and the will of teams wanting to survive relegation.”
Goagoses added that there was an introduction of under-19 players in teams such as the Tigers, Wanderers and Otjozondjupa Nampol.
"This is indeed a great gesture in terms of exposure at the senior level. The raw talent and mixture of experience within the team's structures was indeed good to watch," added Goagoses.

Saturday results:

Otjozondjupa 39-34 Afrocat Lions
NCS 32-25 Wanderers
Eleven Arrows 36-32 Rebels
Navy 52- 25 Northern Flyers
Mighty Gunners 68-20 Falou
Tigers 47-33 Young Stars
Otjozondjupa Nampol 50-31 Wanderers
