Reho fire: Call for help

The Hardap Region Civil Society Organisations Network is seriously concerned about the ongoing veld fires outside Rehoboth. These fires deprive people of a clean environment by causing pollution in areas where people live, posing a serious health hazard through ash that can be blown everywhere.
The organisation urgently requests the communities of Rehoboth, Hardap, and Windhoek to assist fire fighting teams with manpower and donations.
Donations in Windhoek can be dropped off at 101 Tunschel Street Pionierspark opposite the Emmanuel Church and donations in Rehoboth can be dropped off at the B1 Service Station. Marshall Ranger, Sean Naude, can be contacted at 081 232 2948 for arrangements.
Furthermore, the organisation wishes Rehoboth mayor Enrico Junius and another victim who were airlifted for treatment in South Africa after suffering major burns during the blaze, a speedy recovery.
