The late internationally renowned Namibian artist John Ndevasia Muafangejo would have celebrated his 80th birthday this year.
In celebration of his legacy, the National Arts Gallery of Namibia (NAGN) presents the ‘Omusimanekwa John’ exhibition.
This tribute is a way to celebrate Muafangejo’s journey as an artist and the contribution his woodcuts, etchings and linocuts made to the industry.
This year, the NAGN also offers an opportunity to local artists of any experience level to enter their work to be part of the exhibition.
Omusimanekwa John opens on 5 October, Muafangejo’s birthday, and will be on display until 11 November.
