Get ready for an epic music fest!

King TeeDee announced that his third concert series and Charity Cup is for 23 to 25 September at the UNAM stadium in the capital.
The musician is aiming at reaching an audience of over 10 000 fans in a bid to create unity among music lovers and persons from all walks of life through 7-a-side soccer.
According to King TeeDee, the show is an event that Namibia and the rest of Africa needs following the global pandemic. “We are sure that through government’s interventions to fight the pandemic, September’s event will see the same attendance as we did before we even knew of this virus. I look forward to hosting the event. I appreciate the loyal members of the public for always standing by initiatives that indirectly create job opportunities,” he said.
He added that the Charity Cup would be held at the same event for three consecutive days, with teams competing against each other in the run-up to the performances on two consecutive nights.
He said that 15 % of the proceeds of the Charity Cup would be donated to a selected charity supported by the Mshasho Trust Fund, as well as orphans and children who lost parents to HIV/AIDS. There’s prize money and a floating trophy up for grabs for the winning teams.
“Our last Charity Cup was endorsed by Collin Benjamin who is Namibia’s newest coach. We are hopeful that he will show the legends and newcomers a few tricks. Corporates can register their team at N$4 000 per team while the Social League can register for N$2 500.
Space for SMEs
Speaking at the launch, Mshasho's public relations agency, Poiyah Media’s Ilke Platt said that the event encourages Small and Medium Enterprises to register a stand at N$4 000 for a beverage stand and N$3 500 for a food stand since they will be able to access their target market and to benefit from this platform.
“This event will cater to over fifty SMEs and allows them to boost their sales. SME s will be selected based on the criteria set out in the application forms that are available on all various social media platforms,” she said.
