Second Book Sprint set for October

Children’s book created in 12 hours
On a single Book Sprint Day, in just 12 hours, volunteer creative teams work quickly to create beautiful Namibian children's books that anyone can freely translate, print and distribute.
The first Book Sprint Namibia event took place in 2022 and was sponsored by the German Embassy in Windhoek and the Goethe-Institut Namibia.
After the success of the first edition, the two organisations are now planning the second edition of the Book Sprint, scheduled for 5 October 2024.
Once again, the facilitators are looking for writers, illustrators and editors who are passionate about children’s literacy.
If this applies to you, please fill out the Google form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1sqnpi7O7vu5XQDbnGDoFoLiRATAumdN_y1-Fhq1I8Uc/edit with your details and your experiences in the relevant area before 31 August 2024.
Authors, please include a written sample (English submissions only) of between 250 and 300 words. Illustrators please also include your Instagram profile.
The books will be translated into other Namibian languages in due course.
