The National Ballet School is set to enchant audiences with its upcoming production of Peter Pan, running from Wednesday to Saturday at the National Theatre of Namibia (NTN) in Windhoek.

Directed by Zelrine Verdoes, who has led the studio for the past 12 years, the production features an impressive cast of 140 dancers aged between 4 and 19. The performance celebrates the full journey of ballet training, from first steps on stage to advanced performance.

Adding international flair to the programme are two acclaimed guest artists: Chloe Blair, a soloist with Joburg Ballet, and Jordan Roelfze, a soloist with Cape Town City Ballet. The pair will perform a special pas de deux and solo pieces from the classical ballet Le Corsaire, offering audiences a rare opportunity to experience world-class artistry on a Namibian stage.

The production is made possible through the support of Bank Windhoek, whose sponsorship has enabled refreshed stage décor and the hosting of the international guest artists. Costumes will blend classical and romantic ballet traditions with a contemporary twist, complementing the updated stage design and breathing new life into the timeless story.

“At Bank Windhoek, we believe that investing in the arts is an investment in our people and our future,” said Bank Windhoek’s Bronwyn Moody. “Supporting the National Ballet School’s Peter Pan production reflects our commitment to nurturing local talent, enriching Namibia’s cultural landscape, and creating opportunities for young performers to shine on both national and international stages.”

Peter Pan is a story of imagination, courage and the joy of growing up - values that are reflected in the performances of the dancers, from the youngest participants to the most advanced students. The production promises a magical theatrical experience for families, ballet enthusiasts and the wider arts community.

Performance times are at 19:00 from Wednesday to Saturday, along with a morning show at 10:00 on Saturday. Tickets are available at nam-events.com at N$250 per person.
