Walking the extra mile

Bank Windhoek joined the global celebration of Customer Experience (CX) Day on Tuesday, with a nationwide walk themed “Walk the Extra Mile.” Employees from branches and departments across the country took to the streets to engage with their communities, showcasing unity and a commitment to customer excellence.
In Windhoek, celebrations began at the Kudu Branch, where staff in their signature red T-shirts walked to the Capricorn Branch, passing along Independence Avenue, malls, and key city locations. Similar activities took place in all regions, highlighting the bank’s dedication to service innovation and excellence.
Managing director James Chapman joined the event at the Swakopmund Branch, emphasising the day’s significance. “Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. Walking the extra mile is not just this year’s theme; it is a continual promise to deliver exceptional service and build trust,” he said.
Chapman noted that staff participation across all branches demonstrated the bank’s collective commitment to its values and the importance placed on customer relationships.
Marketing and corporate communication executive officer Jacquiline Pack said the celebrations allowed staff to connect meaningfully with their communities. “Our brand values – Open, Dedicated and Inspired – guide us. Through these values, we show that we listen, care and continuously strive for excellence.”
